Angels at my Table Introduction
As I sit here at my computer writing this introduction, it strikes me as remarkable that how only a short year ago, I was exactly here in this spot, beginning the journey with my first book ‘The See Through People’. The response to this first offering has been absolutely overwhelming and humbling at the same time. I don’t just mean with the reviews, which have been wonderful and so thankfully received, or by the fact that the book has gone into a third print in less than a year, but more by the outpour of understanding, empathy and thirst for further knowledge, insights and curiosity from the readers from all over the world, as can be seen from the Testimonials on my Publisher’s website1 and on Amazon.
Those of you who have read my first book, will be aware that I am a natural born medium, on whom the gift was bestowed from birth. Mainly a blessing, and sometimes a burden, it is an integral part of who I am, and to not respond to these energies would be as hard as asking someone not to see colour. I had no choice, it was decided for me. Having said that, I have witnessed many wonders and blessings and the joy of knowing that we are not alone, especially in the most difficult of times, has helped me through many of my own personal challenges in life.
I am essentially just a messenger, a bit like radio. I am able to ‘tune in’ to the energies, spirit guides and angels that surround people, and offer the healing of affirming love and validation, that those readings give. I am not in charge of the channel that is transmitting so to speak, rather I listen to or see, what it is they wish to convey and pass forward. Always done in the spirit of love and light, it is not intended to challenge or weaken any of your already held beliefs, but hopefully strengthen them, confirming that we are all watched over by our guides and loved ones who have passed.
There is no judgment in Spirit, no one person more worthy than the other, and ironically some of the most remarkable readings are to those who come in as skeptics and go out with a renewed faith and hope. They may never need to see a Medium again, but this new ‘knowing’ will help them to trust their own inner voice and intuition going forward. It may help them to trust and develop their own intuitive gifts and define their spiritual purpose. These are the occasions when I feel a great sense of joy and encouragement that more love and light is going out into the world and goodness knows, mankind is in dire need of more good energy and understanding with all the political, social, economic and climate issues.
When first discussing the outline for this second book with my Publishers, I had intended to go a totally different route. However, as is usual in my life, the universe had other plans, and I found I was getting emails and messages from people asking further questions of my experience of working as a Medium, and spiritual matters in general based on some of the material in my first book, ‘The See Through People’. So much so, that I opened the discussion up on my social media and invited my readers to let me know what they would like to learn more about? The response was amazing, and indeed, could have been several books worth. Who knows, if you responded or wrote to me, perhaps your question may be a featured topic in this book? And, it’s the intention of my Publishers to review the entire bank of questions that were sent in to us with a future book project in their sights.
As I have explained in the past, I do not claim to be a spiritual guru or expert in the parapsychology field, but am simply answering the questions I am asked so frequently about my own experience and opinions. This is, however, based on a lifetime of living with ‘Spirit’, and I try to frame the answers with the examples of my own real life discovery of those very answers. Much of this discovery is based in my early years, which is when I guess most of us are learning the most, but there are some examples from my later life, which are relevant to the interesting questions posed.
Someone once described me as ‘an ordinary little girl, with an extraordinary gift’. I quite liked that description, because it was about the gift and not about me. Strangely shy at times, I had to overcome my own personal reservations about other people’s opinion and judgment of me, in order to do what I know I was meant to do; pass forward messages of love and hope. I am indeed very ordinary, a wife, mother and grandmother with very human frailties. It was this fragility that caused me to write in the first place. Stage four cancer put me on notice that I may not always be able to pass on messages, that I am human, with all of the failings that being human entails. I felt that a book would, in some way, pass the message further, that people whom I did not get the pleasure to meet in person would read my story, and that something would resonate with them and encourage them to believe that our souls go on, and that our Angels mind us.
As you can see, I am still here, and being minded well by my own Angels, as I believe they feel I still have work to do.
